Theresa Kufuor Is Dead
Theresa Kufuor, a former first lady of Ghana, has reportedly passed away.
On Sunday, October 1, 2023, news of the death of former president John Agyekum Kufuor’s wife was received.
Asaase Radio, a station situated in Accra, broadcasts the information to the whole audience.

“Her husband, former President John Agyekum Kufuor was at home when his wife of over 55 years died. Mrs Kufuor has not been well in recent years,” the report said.
“Incidentally, President Nana Akufo-Addo had traveled to the mountains to pay a visit to the former President, and her passing is said to have happened shortly before the President arrived.”
The five children of John and Theresa are J. Addo Kufuor, Nana Ama Gyamfi, Saah Kufuor, Agyekum Kufuor, and Owusu Afriyie Kufuor. In total, they have eight grandchildren.
After meeting at a Republic Day Anniversary Ball in London in 1961, the couple began dating before becoming engaged in 1962.
Before she passed away, Mrs. Theres Kufuor was a nurse. Prior to her marriage to the former president, she went by the name Theresa Mensah on official documents.
She is also credited with advocating policy changes in the Government’s White Paper on Educational Reforms, which aimed to implement the Free Compulsory Universal Basic Education (FCUBE) program.
Before moving to London, Theresa attended the Catholic Convent, OLA, in Keta, in the Volta Region, and graduated from the Southern Hospital Group of Nursing there. She later became a certified general nurse.
She completed her education and received a State Certified Midwife Diploma in Premature Nursing at the Radcliffe Infirmary in Oxford and Paddington General Hospital in London.

Theresa Kufuor was declared dead on Sunday, October 1, 2023. Before exhaling heavily, the former first lady was supposed to have been unwell for a while.
Despite rumors that she had been bedridden for a while, Theresa Kufuor’s death has not yet been given a public cause.
