E.T Mensah Would be Remembered For His Sterling Performance as Mayor of Accra

Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten pays Tribute to E.T. Mensah: Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanteng, the founder and head of the political organization Movement for Change, has paid respect to the late E.T. Mensah.

Through his social media page, the former New Patriotic Party member honored Hon. Enoch Teye Mensah, a former member of parliament for Ningo Prampram.

On Sunday, October 1, 2023, E.T. Mensah was declared dead while undergoing treatment for a serious illness in South Africa. His passing sparked a political storm in Ghana, with several leaders expressing their sympathies to the family.

Because of his radicalism, E.T. Mensah was regarded during his active political career on the National Democratic Congress ticket as a fierce rival for the National Patriotic Party.

Even though E.T. Mensah belonged to the NDC, many people on all sides of the political spectrum he formed lifelong friendships with, according to Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanteng in his tribute.

He continued to say that “The late E.T. Mensah would be remembered for his sterling performance as Mayor of Accra, Minister of Youth and Sports, and Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram during the NDC term of office in government”.

“It was with a heavy heart that I received the news of the death of my long-standing friend Hon. Enoch Teye Mensah whom I affectionately referred to as my Chief of Staff.   E.T as he was popularly known, made lifelong friendships with many on all sides of the political divide, even though he was a fiercely competitive politician” he said.

“The late E.T. Mensah would be remembered for his sterling performance as Mayor of Accra, Minister for Youth and Sports, and Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram, at various times during the NDC term of office in government.   He fought a good fight in his political career and has left an indelible mark in the history of Ghanaian politics.   May the good Lord grant him eternal rest” he added.
