Sonnie Badu, a gospel singer, and preacher who has won numerous awards internationally, has advised the youth to work with “honesty” and “truth” rather than placing all the responsibility on the current government.
He voiced the opinion that while President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is not dozing off over the country’s current challenges, it is imperative for young people to interact honestly with one another.
Prior to the beginning of his ‘Rhythms of Afrika’ event on Friday, October 6, the founder and senior pastor of Rockhill Church gave a speech on TV3’s New Day.
“I said on the other show yesterday that I don’t think the President is sleeping,” he told host Cookie Tee.
“I think he is having sleepless nights with whatever [that] is going on but let’s also help ourselves.
“Let’s start networking, let’s start working together. Let’s work in honesty. Let’s work in truth. When somebody gives you something, make sure you are honest about it.

He tells tales of people in charge of construction projects inflating costs solely to benefit themselves at the expense of the owners.
“All of these don’t help. So, there is a gift inside of us that once we ask for God’s favor, that gift will come out.”
He prayed for favor despite the current difficulties, urging all to also pray for their “destiny helpers”.
“I pray for everybody here even though things are tough here, may God make a way for everybody where there seems to be no way.
“And may God send everybody their destiny helper. That’s all we need.”
The ‘Baba’ hitmaker is now in Ghana to launch the ‘Rhythms of Afrika’ event, which is slated for Saturday, December 9.
