Tragically, Nigerian musician MohBad, real name Promise Oladimeji Aloba PK/A Mohbad (Imole), died at the age of 27. His management team released an official statement on social media confirming the news of his tragic death.

On a fateful Tuesday evening, music executive Ovie broke the devastating news on X (formerly known as Twitter), writing, “Confirmed. MohBad is no more. A really sad day. R.I.P.”

It was later confirmed that MohBad (Imole) had passed away today, September 12, 2023, according to a moving statement that was shared on his Instagram account.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the outpouring of support and prayers as they mourn the loss of the bright talent that MohBad symbolized. MohBad was a shining beacon right up until the very end.

MohBad Wife and Children

The late singer Mohbad’s wife, Omowunmi Aloba, is a 24-year-old fashion designer. After dating for ten years, they got married in 2022. Their love story started when they were teenagers.

 

On April 13, 2023, they gave birth to their son Liam Light Aloba as a couple. Liam was only five months old during Mohbad’s death, which was a tragic event. Omowunmi, who was saddened by the demise of her spouse, vented her sorrow on social media.
