The head pastor of David Miracle Worship Center at Nyamebekyere, a suburb of of Obuasi in the Ashanti Region and his Junior Pastors were beaten to a pulp by some angry youths of the area on Friday, June 21, 2024.

It is reported that about 70 youth stormed the church premise on the aforementioned day to destroy some properties of the church.
As reported, the irate youth invaded the church auditorium with cutlasses, sticks, and hammers, destroying plastic chairs and church windows without any provocation.
The head pastor, Pastor Maxwell Amoako alias David Ba lodged a complaint with the Obuasi Divisional Operation Patrol team.
The assailants fled immediately after the police arrived at the scene.
Police investigators revealed later the day tha the complainant went to the church premises and the same irate youths attacked him, stabbing his right arm and beating him up along with his junior pastors.
The Obuasi Divisional Operation team stormed the scene but the youth once again fled the scene before the arrival of the police.
David Ba was issued a medical forms to undergo treatment in view of the stab wound.
At the moment, investigations are being carried by the Obuasi Divisional Operation.
