Shatta Wale billed to Perform In London: The King of Dancehall, has been scheduled to perform at the 2023 Ghana Music Awards UK edition.

The artist, who is also a nominee, will perform his entire library of popular songs at the event in December 2023.

Shatta Wale was nominated in the following categories for the Taabea Ghana Music Awards 2023 UK:

• Reggae Dancehall Artiste of the Year
• Reggae Dancehall Song of the Year
• Most Popular Song of the Year
• Artiste of the Year
• Most Dominant Fanbase of the Year

Shatta is expected to claim all categories for which he was considered for nomination.

After sharing his GMA23-UK performance flyer on social media, it sparked a dialogue claiming to announce the cancellation of his December 25th Freedom Wave Festival.

The Freedom Wave Festival 2023 was jeopardized after the National Sports Authority made the Accra Sports Stadium available to Stonebwoy for his fifth dimension Album Homecoming show on December 22nd, which coincided with the previously planned dates for Shatta Wale.

 

After much debate, Shatta Wale‘s management team decided to cancel the event since there would not be enough time to build up their stage.

On his Facebook page, Samuel Atuobi Baah, the current head of management for Shatta Wale, suggested the cancellation of the Freedom Wave Festival 2023.

Shatta Wale subsequently responded with an affirmative remark and requested to be booked for the December events, which included the Taabea Ghana Music Awards-UK.
