The NPP Special Delegate Conference Was Strategically Skewed To Favor One Particular Person – Allan Kyeremanteng

Honorable Allan Kwadwo Kyeremanteng has withdrawn from the NPP flag-bearer race. The former Ghana Minister of Trade and Industry (2017-2023) has announced his withdrawal from contesting the NPP presidential candidate.

In a presser endorsed by the politician dated 5th September, 2023, Allan Kyeremanteng outlined reasons for his decision saying “….after carefully analysed the results of the said election, it is absolutely clear to me from events leading to, during and after the elections, that the Special Delegates Elections was Strategically and tactically skewed to favor on particular Aspirant”.

He continued to say that “…the level of intimidation of varying intensity, directly and indirectly unleashed on a significant of Delegates at various voting  centers across the 16 regions is unprecedented in the history of our party”.

Allan Kyeremanteng in his statement revealed how his polling agent in the North East Region suffered to lose his sight during the election. He said the incident will remain as the dark memory in the history of internal election in the party.

The disclosure was made in a statement dated September 5, 2023 by Alan Kyeremanten.

In view of the aforementioned, I wish to confirm that I am honorably resigning from the procedure leading up to the Presidential Primaries, which will take place on November 4, 2023. After consulting with my family, other well-wishers, various stakeholders, and interest groups, I will give an indication of the role I will play in Ghanaian politics in the future weeks.
