You Can’t Even Stage a 2hours Live Band Performances – Vida Adutwumwaa Descends on Shatta Wale for Calling Stonebwoy a ‘Curtain Raiser’
On UTV Ghana’s United Showbiz, entertainment expert Vida Adutwumwaa has challenged Shatta Wale to stage a 2hours live band performances.
Miss Adutwumwaa on the show hosted by Ola Michael on Saturday, 2nd September, 2023 has criticized Shatta Wale’s artistic approach saying he is fixated to miming.
Ms. Adutwumwaa expressed her displeasure with Shatta Wale’s propensity to have pointless and insulting dialogues about his fellow musicians in response to Shatta Wale’s recent attack on Stonebwoy, calling Stonebwoy a “curtain raiser.”
She claims that Shatta Wale’s shallow outlook and attitude are obstacles to his artistic development and evolution in a conversation on UTV Showbiz Night.
She suggests that Stonebwoy, whom Shatta Wale disparages, has continually refined his craft and live performances over the years, in contrast to Shatta Wale, who primarily uses mime and background music.
Ms. Adutwumwaa thinks that Shatta Wale has forgotten his responsibility as an artist and has turned to meaningless social media debates, focused on unfounded criticisms and demeaning the labor of other musicians.
She also cites Stonebwoy’s response to comparisons made recently between Ghanaian and Nigerian artists, emphasizing that Stonebwoy is not deterred by the pressure but rather sees it as fuel to hasten his growth.

According to Ms. Adutwumwaa, Stonebwoy is just as capable of finding success on international platforms as musicians like Davido. However, its development is hampered by Ghana’s music industry’s lack of adequate infrastructure and support.
“Stonebwoy’s contribution to the recent Ghana and Nigeria comparison explained that he isn’t moved by the pressure but he is self-aware of what has to be done to emulate such success of the Nigerian counterpart citing the pressure as a motivation to accelerate growth
“Stonebwoy is no different from Davido and Co, he is capable of gracing bigger stages like the Co However the lack of proper structure and support hinders the penetration into the chalking of such highlights. He acknowledges the challenges and sees it as a self-retrospection to build his craft paving the way to the bigger limelight.
“But Shatta Wale as usual rides on attention to shade hard-working artists who are doing their best to put the country on the map, I challenge him to put up a two-hour live performance, What Shatta Wale does is miming, track one, track two. It is so petty of him to claim Stonebwoy is coping Burna Boy, You can go a check on both their socials, what is the similarity between the two artists?
